Racing Broom - Köstler 3000
My dear witch, wizard and magical person - This is the Racing Broom 'Köstler 3000' It is completely handmade from a solid board of Bavarian Ash, that's the traditional wood type for broomsticks. The broom part is hand bound with real willow brushwood and has a secondary inner coil engine. The overall length is 63" or 160cm. The weight is about 3,6 kg. Yes it is bit heavy, but this broom is sturdy and solid like a rock. Even high altitudes (over 2000 feet), strong shear winds and massive turbulences of all kind are no problem for this magnificent magical piece of equipment. During on of my numerous test flights, I was able to measure a top speed of 170 mph (under tailwind, of course) but keeping a tight grip to the broomstick was quite difficult, I would recommend this only to very experienced frequent flyers. Further more, the broom stick is equipped with a dragon heartstring core from my former wand maker teacher Ragnar Gunnarson living in Hammerfest / Norway - this enhances flight stability a lot. The handle has a carved 'K' gilded with real 24k gold on each side. Each racing broom has a stamped serial number, my own prototype broom has the serial number 001. If you have to travel in a non magical way, the racing broom is dismountable into two parts. The broom stick with a length of about 43" or 100cm and the broom with 23 1/2" or 60cm. This is the way your racing broom will arrive at your home, it is very easy to assemble, just screw the two parts tight until the serial number is showing upwards to you while sitting on your broom. There is no wrong way to do this (no tools required, a small swush with your magic wand might speed up the process)
